Goal
Primary: To sell more tickets
Secondary: To grow the email list and to nurture and build relationships with past and future attendees.
Approach
To build the list, I use the following tactics:
- Collecting emails used to buy tickets
- Conducting surveys during the event and the next business day following the event
- Offering the chance to win free tickets to the event in exchange for contact information
- Creating signup forms for the website
- Offering incentives for current subscribers if they refer people
Providing value to subscribers is what I focus on the most.
Results
An engaged subscriber list with above-average open rates and click-through rates. Year-after-year event sales are steadily increasing.
